Message	the tension rod mounts, and yes I think I have. That was added over a year ago, and at the time I felt that it sharpened the steering response, similar to the way that going from stock tension rods, to adjustable rods did. I picked it up on ebay for about $50 delivered and felt it was very much worth it. FWIW, the fit is even better now that the car is TTd. There was slight interference between the lower rad hose and the bar with the NA radiator, now that the TT radiator is in place that lower hose interference is gone.
